Seller's Description & Comments

Are you sure you really want to sell this? I asked the almost 80 year old gentleman. "Yeah. I've had this car since I was 16 years old. My dad had bought it for me and it was my first car ever." He drove his 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible over in the pouring rain to Bavarian Motorsport. This beautiful white and white interior 1957 T-Bird with the iconic removable hardtop with the portholes. Since the car had mostly been garage kept its entire life as he walks into the dealership drenched! We pulled it into the shop and I took photos of the undercarriage . There was no rust that I could discern on this powder coated automatic transmission Thunderbird . The odometer reads 00,754 miles since it has only 5 digits. He says its 100,700. In 62 years that is definitely not much mileage! At 66 years old this car has normal wear and tear, ie the seepage coming on our showroom floor. Included in the sale is it to the hardtop / carrier, cover and a tonneau cover. The owner's manual, shop manual, parts manual. Original valve covers, original radio and original carburetor . In the early 2000's the owner had replaced the soft top, had it repainted and also the engine was rebuilt. Around 2010 it had a complete tuneup. 10 years later this stunning T-Bird received a new gas tank, fuel pump and spark plugs. Suzanne Summers did not think she would get the part driving a 1956 T-bird in American Graffiti... but she did. As the mysterious blonde driving this iconic car seen with portholes, it set her career on its path . We had fun posing for our showroom shots. The 1957 had some changes to it I.E the spare wheel was now inside the trunk. The 1957 was more sleek with different proportion fins in the back end and a chrome grill up front. The port holes were optional in the hardtop convertible. it is the most sought after of all the classic T-bird models. This car with a single Holley carburetor in its 312 ci V8 putts out 245 horsepower. The car has been lovingly maintained and garage kept. We welcome trades and can arrange financing.
